About Us

Indigo Read is a non-profit organization that was established in the Summer of 2008. It is a traveling book club with a home base in Brooklyn, New York geared towards children ages 3 & up in promoting the importance of books and the fun of reading. Its passion is targeted towards the development of creativity and imagination that will benefit children throughout their lives. This will give children access to a meaningful experience that will increase academic success, develop skills and inspire them to participate fully in community life. The fight for literacy will be waged, as children are exposed to Literature and the Arts throughout the school year and summer months, by having volunteers meet in the park, schools, homes and day care centers.
